About us

PlainSpoken is two engineers in Toronto. There’s no sales team and no account manager: the people on your first call are the people who do the work.

Most tech advice small businesses get is either a sales pitch or a sixty-page report. We’d rather tell you plainly what’s worth doing, do it properly, and leave you owning it.

Plain English
If we can’t explain it simply, we shouldn’t be building it.
Fixed prices
In writing, before we start. No meter running.
You own it
Code, accounts and documentation stay with you.
Honest no’s
If something isn’t worth building, or isn’t our kind of work, we’ll say so and tell you who to call.
  • Raghav Dua

    E-commerce, AI and IT

Raghav builds AI agents that work inside Shopify, marketplaces and ad accounts, and the safeguards that let a business trust them with its live store. Before that he spent nearly four years on a security-camera brand’s storefront, and today he also runs IT for a Toronto retailer.

  • Pratyank Bhosale

    Full-stack and AI engineer

Pratyank takes early-stage products from idea to an audit-ready launch, often as the first or lead engineer: a logistics platform for an FDA-regulated transplant company, payments infrastructure at Clearco, and a property platform across three provinces.

Other things we’ve built

  • Our ad-optimization platform

Reviews Google Ads campaigns and suggests target ROAS, CPA and budget changes, each with its reasoning. Bidding changes always wait for a person to approve them.

    Both of us

  • A sandbox for untrusted code

Runs untrusted Python with no network, a read-only filesystem and hard limits on CPU, memory and processes, so runaway loops and break-out attempts stay contained.

    Pratyank

  • An AI editor for patent drafts

The AI proposes each change as a structured edit that a reviewer approves one at a time, and every edit can be undone, because one silent change can alter a legal claim.

Questions people ask us

How much does it cost?

It depends on the work, so we don’t publish a rate card. Work comes as a fixed-scope project, a monthly retainer or one-hour advisory sessions, and before anything starts you get the price in writing. It only changes if what you’re asking for changes.

Who will we actually work with?

The two of us. We don’t hand your project to juniors or subcontractors.

Do we own what you build?

Yes. It runs under your accounts, the code is yours, and it keeps working if you stop working with us. The one exception is our ad platform: we run your campaigns on it, but your ad accounts and data stay yours.

What if a project isn’t working?

Every project is split into phases, each with its own price. You can stop after any phase and keep everything built so far.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. Send it over before the first call if you like.
